Bio, or How I Started this Joyful Journey
What do you do when you love Christmas so much you have to live it every day? Become Mrs. Claus, of course! Few things are more rewarding than to experience Christmas through the eyes of a child. Hearing their wishes, their questions, their memories, and their dreams keeps the joy and spirit of Christmas in Mrs. Claus’s heart. Offering encouragement, love, and the whimsical mystery of Santa and Mrs. Claus is her way of helping children B*E*L*I*E*V*E in the wonder.
Since 2014, Deanna has portrayed Mrs. Anna Claus, sharing her joy and always remembering the reason for the season. After 40 years in corporate America, she brought her experience to IBRBS, an international organization of Christmas performers, and became the first woman elected to the Board of Directors. Committed to developing her craft, she has attended several Christmas conferences, workshops, and schools.
In 2016, Deanna humbly agreed to carry out a vision for holiday education at the behest of Lucky Royse, a dear friend, fellow Claus, and designer of Santa Nana’s Holiday University, education from a different and unexpected point of view. Sadly, Lucky passed in July 2016, but entrusted Deanna to turn her vision into reality. As principal, and with her business partner, Santa Nana’s Holiday University has delivered its innovative program across the country, with more than 200 Clauses attending and furthering their Claus-iness. Deanna has been invited to present at major Christmas conferences and has been interviewed for both television, radio, and print media at the local and national levels.
Deanna lives at the Desert Pole near Phoenix, AZ, loves camping and exploring this great land with her husband (the Grinch!).
